When are the Christmas markets in Stockholm?
The Christmas season in Sweden traditionally begins in late November and runs until 23rd December. Keep a close eye on opening times: some markets are open daily, while others only take place at weekends.
Important to know: 23rd December is generally the very last day for the Christmas markets. On Christmas Eve (24th December), Swedes celebrate with their families. After that, only the Christmas decorations remain until 13th January (Knutsdagen), the 20th day after Christmas, but the markets themselves are over.
